Class Notes 5/15

Today in class we went over integer multiplication and integer division. We learned in this lesson that we multiply and divide just like we would with whole numbers however the amount of negative numbers in each problem will dictate if the answer is positive or negative.

  • If the signs are the same (+,+) or (-,-) then the answer is positive.
  • If the signs are different (+,-) or (-,+) than the answer will be negative.

We also learned the tic-tac-toe board to help us remember the rules for multiplying and dividing integers.
