Class Notes 4/22

Today in class the students took their weekly quiz which covered section 8.1-8.3 (the beginning of geometry).

There is no homework over break.

Class Notes 4/20

Today in class we went over section 8.3, which dealt with angle relationships. We went over the class notes and then did some handouts for practice.

Homework: Study for the quiz on Friday. The quiz will cover sections 8.1-8.3

Class Notes 4/18

Today in class we covered section 8.2 (measuring and drawing angles). We then worked in groups on problems from the book.

Homework: Read section 8.3, list three things from the reading. Reminder that there is a quiz scheduled for Friday (Covering 8.1-8.3)

Class Notes 4/13

Today in class we went over the Chapter 7 quiz that the class took Monday. After the quiz we jumped right into chapter 8, and covered section 8.1 (building blocks to geometry). After the lesson the class worked on problems from the book.

Homework: Finish the handout that was given in class.
Also there will be a quiz on the Friday before break.

Class Notes 4/11

Today in class the students took their chapter 7 quiz.

Homework due Wednesday 4/13: Read the first two sections on chapter 8. List three things from your reading.

Class Notes 9/7

Today was a review day for the class in preparation for the upcoming quiz on Chapter 7 next Monday (4/11). The class received a packet containing many different problems from the chapter, and I let them spend the class time picking the problems or sections that they wanted to review.

Homework: Study for the quiz.

Class Notes 4/5

Today in class we covered section 7.9 and 7.10. These sections dealt with applying percents such as sales tax, discounts and tips. We worked on numerous word problems and we also saw examples of how to find the percent of a number that is not out of 100.

Homework Due 4/7: 7.9 Handout 5 problems from the back. 7.10 #10-13.

Also there will be a quiz on chapter 7 next Monday 4/11.

Today in class we worked on sections 7.7 and 7.8 which were on Percents.
