Class Notes 1/27

Today in class we covered section 4.4 which showed us how decimals and fractions can both represent the same number. We learned how to convert decimals to fractions and fractions to decimals.

After the lesson we worked in groups on a few handouts, and used decimal grids to help us visualize how decimals and fractions are equivalent.


Homework Due Monday 2/1: Nothing, enjoy the long weekend and have some fun.

Class Notes 1/25

Today in class we went over sections 4.2 and 4.3. Both sections dealt with factors, prime factors and greatest common factors. The class then worked on a packet in class that dealt with all three topics.

Homework due 1/27: Finish the packet and read 4.4

Today in class we started covering Chapter 4, the chapter started out with divisibility which will be very helpful when we start to cover fractions.

Today in class we practiced more with dividing decimals by whole numbers and other decimal numbers. I gave you a handout to work on in class with your groups.

Class Notes 1/4

Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful break and were just as excited as I was to come back to class today.

In class we started going over dividing decimals by both whole numbers and then decimals. After the lesson I gave you all a handout of 40 questions. For homework you are to do 30 of the 40 questions.

There will also be a Chapter 3 (Decimals) Test next Tuesday Jan. 12th.

Homework Due 11/6: Decimal Division Handout (30 of the 40 problems).
